Awards and Acknowledgements

As our slogan says, RAVLIC is focused on creating maximum quality for its customers. That philosophy was recognized by many experts, so they have given us a number of awards and acknowledgements.

In late 2015 we implemented the IFS (English: International Featured Standards). This standard establishes the base criteria that the norms in the food industry must satisfy. Application of the IFS ensures the standardization and stability of guaranteed quality, and the criteria of food products safety management system, criteria of good practices, such as production practice, and the criteria of establishment of the HACCP system are satisfied through the IFS norms. The aforementioned norms are made and publicised by the IFS International Technical Committee. The currently present norms are: IFS Food, IFS Food Store, IFS Broker, IFS PACsecure, IFS Logistics, IFS HPC and IFS Cash & Carry. The IFS Food standard, which is implemented into the Meat industry Ravlić business processes, covers the following areas: senior management responsibility, quality and food safety management system, resource management, planning of production process, measurements, analysis and improvements, as well as food defence. With the successful implementation of the IFS we once again justified our slogan which has lead us through all these successful years: “Guided by the quality- RAVLIĆ products!”.

In March 2015, our CEO Zlatko Ravlić received the prestigious international award “Creators for Centuries” for lifetime achievement in business. The main goal of the “Creators for Centuries” Project is public recognition of people, companies and institutions with the most merits in contribution to the development of entrepreneurship in Southeast Europe, as well as diverting public attention to great visionaries and leaders of tomorrow, whose work, knowledge, creativity and great results are the base and the main driver of our community’s development, and the creator of developmental challenges for the times to come.

The restaurant “Plavi podrum” won this prestigious award again in 2013, and was declared one of the 100 best restaurants in Croatia. The guide “100 Leading Croatian Restaurants and Their Recipes” presented the dish “Marinated lamb cutlets with spicy herbs”, which became known all over the country.

At the Fair in Novi Sad, again we had won prestigious awards for the quality of our products. In 2012 we competed with 4 of our products. RAVLIC Domaca slavonska kobasica (Homemade Slavonian sausage) won a gold medal, and Slavonski kulen (Slavonian kulen sausage) became the winner of the entire group of products.

In 2011, RAVLIC had participated, for the third time, in the evaluation of the quality of products at the Agricultural Fair in Novi Sad. At the International Agricultural Fair, a fair with the largest, and longest, tradition in the region, products are being judged by the most eminent experts, from all relevant scientific and professional institutions, which is another reason why these acknowledgments should be highly appreciated. RAVLIC had registered two products: Slavonski kulen (Slavonian kulen sausage) and Domaca slavonska kobasica (Homemade Slavonian sausage). For the quality of Domaca slavonska kobasica (Homemade Slavonian sausage) we won the prestigious gold medal, and Slavonski kulen (Slavonian kulen sausage) won the title of the champion of the entire group of products.

Restaurant “Plavi podrum“ won the prestigious award in 2011, and was listed among the 100 best restaurants in Croatia. In the guide “100 vodecih hrvatskih restorana i njihovi recepti”, the presented restaurants were chosen by guests from over 2400 restaurants.

In 2010 we won a Large winner trophy with the acknowledgment “Best in agribusiness”, for the best company in the field of preserving the tradition of Slavonian meat products. Our beautiful story from Novi Sad had continued with this special award, which is being awarded to companies for outstanding achievements in their field of work.

We participated at the 77th International Agricultural Fair in Novi Sad, and won numerous awards. Two bronze medals have been awarded to us by the Committee for evaluation of the quality of products at the Fair in Novi Sad, for Safalada (Knackwurst) and Slavonski svargl (Slavonian svargl), 6 silver medals for Tirolska kobasica (Tyrolean sausage), Parizer (Bologna), Pecenica (Smoked pork loin), Budjola, Suha slanina (Smoked bacon), and Dimljeni komadi šunke u mrežici (Smoked ham pieces in a net), and 7 gold medals for Slavonski kulen (Slavonian kulen sausage), Ravni kulen (Straight kulen sausage), Jeger (Hunter’s sausage), Hrenovka RAVLIC (Frankfurter), Slaninska kobsica (Bacon sausage), Pucka kobasica (Folk sausage), and Domaci cvarci (Homemade greaves). Our Domaća slavonska kobasica (Homemade Slavonian sausage) again in 2010 was the winner in front of all the other products in its group. As a special acknowledgment, the RAVLIC UTD company was awarded the Trophy for top quality of Slavonian traditional products.

Restaurant “Plavi podrum“ again was awarded the title of the 100 best restaurants. In 2010, for the guide “100 vodecih hrvatskih restorana”, we have created a new recipe – Lamb with aromatic herbs.

At the 76th International Agricultural Fair in Novi Sad, we won a number of awards for the quality of our products. International Agricultural Fair in Novi Sad is one of the largest in the region, and is particularly proud of a long tradition of evaluating the quality of the product. In 2009, we won the Big gold medal for the Domaca slavonska kobasica (Homemade Slavonian sausage), which became the champion of the entire group of products, then the Gold medal for the quality of Domaca slavonska kobasica (Homemade Slavonian sausage), and the Gold medal for the quality of homemade Slavonski kulen (Slavonian kulen sausage).

Again, in 2009, Gastronaut declares the restaurant “Plavi podrum“ one of the top 100 in Croatia. “Plavi podrum“ was included in the guide “100 vodecih hrvatskih restorana”, with the recipe for Mamine fritule (Mother’s Fritters).

Expansion of the HACCP system, which, since 2009, has included the slaughterhouse and meat processing.
HACCP (eng. Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) is an analysis of the hazards, and determination of the critical control points, in order to prevent and control possible contamination of the product. HACCP system enables the manufacturers to ensure the safety of the food, through the control of the production process from the start until the end. It enables us prevention and control at all stages of production, and not just during the examination of the finished product. Making the plans for the monitoring, and implementation process of the HACCP system, requires teamwork of professionals of different profiles (microbiologists, chemists, technical maintenance staff, veterinarians, etc.).

We have always been proud of our traditional Slavonian products. That was also the reason for our entry to the VII. evaluation of the quality of the kulen sausage organized by the Croatian Chamber of Commerce. In 2007, our sausage was declared vice-champion at the evaluation. For this high place a Gold medal for quality was assigned to us.

In 2006, our meat processing has been certified with HACCP system.
HACCP (eng. We won the First Croatian kuna for the highest results in business, and we got listed among the top 1% of the biggest and the best. We won the award in 2005. The First Croatian kuna is a medal for exceptional achievements in entrepreneurship, awarded by the Institute for Business Research.

The «Segrt Hlapic» award, of the Ministry of Economy, Labour and Entrepreneurship, was given, in 2004 at the gala ceremony in Zagreb, to the owner of the company Zlatko Ravlic for the best master butcher, as a recognition for the successes achieved in the promotion of the occupation of butcher, and for the encouragement of better apprenticeship of young butchers.

To Zlatko Ravlic, in 2002, was given an acknowledgement for the best craftsman and professional teacher, from the Ministry of Small and Medium Enterprises.

Acknowledgment of the Institute of Business Research, establishing that Zlatko Ravlic is a prominent Croatian entrepreneur, and is one of the top 1% in the number of employees, was given to RAVLIC in 2002.

The restaurant “Plavi podrum“ received another recognition of its excellence. In 2002, it was listed again among the 100 best restaurants in Croatia.

Acknowledgment of the Institute of Business Research for a prominent Croatian entrepreneur, was given to the RAVLIC company in 2001.

In the new millennium, the restaurant “Plavi podrum“ had won, for the first time, Gastronaut award “100 best restaurants”. Among more than 2000 restaurants in Croatia, the best were selected and included in the guide “100 vodecih hrvatskih restorana”.
